Vintage Estate Ornate 14kt Yellow Gold Carved Shell Cameo Band Ring.
The cameo, hand carved coral, shows a profile of a young woman. A cameo is a layered stone in which a design is engraved on the top layer and the remainder is carved away to reveal the next layer, leaving the design in relief. It is very rare to find them in such good condition. A carved bust of a women measuing 20mm by 15mm, which is set into a 14kt yellow gold ornate ring measuring 23mm weighing 4.3 grams and is a size 4 1/2. The cameo is very nicely done her hair is curly & all of the woman's features can be seen and has no chipping (very important).
